Benjamin Kay is an assistant professor of pediatric neurology. He received his undergraduate degrees in biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis and then completed his MD and PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Cincinnati. He returned to complete his child neurology residency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. He joined the child neurology faculty at Washington University in 2020.  Kay’s current research interests are discovering how neurological conditions like traumatic brain injury and epilepsy affect cognition using functional magnetic resonance imaging.

When not seeing patients or working on his research, Benjamin enjoys baking cookies for his residents and nurses. You can also find him hiking along one of the many beautiful nature trails in St. Louis. He is married and is expecting his first child.
