Oleg Lobanov, MD, PhD

Oleg Lobanov is an assistant professor of neurology. Born and raised in Russia, he received his MD and PhD degrees from Wake Forest School of Medicine. Following medical school, Lobanov completed his pediatric neurology residency (2019) and pediatric epilepsy fellowship (2020) at Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis. He joined Department of Neurology at Washington University in 2020. Lobanov’s clinical interests involve refractory epilepsy (including surgical methods for treatment of epilepsy) and general inpatient neurology. He attends on several inpatient services including epilepsy monitoring unit, ICU EEG, ICU consults, ED consults, and inpatient neurology floor. He has background in imaging research, and has publications on functional neuroimaging of attention in pain, as well as on connectivity changes after epilepsy surgery.
