Alyssa Smith, MD

Alyssa Smith is an assistant professor of neurology. Born in Edwardsville, Illinois, she received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago and her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois. Following medical school, she completed her pediatric neurology residency and pediatric neurocritical care fellowship from Washington University in St. Louis. Smith joined the faculty of the Department of Neurology at Washington University in 2020. She primarily sees patients for general pediatric neurologic care, neurorehabilitation and recovery after pediatric acquired brain injury.

Smith’s current research interests include neurologic outcomes and improving recovery in pediatric neurocritical care.
